I was fortunate enough to be invited by Team DimCha to savor in on some authentic Asian, Thai & Chinese cuisine. Being quite excited with their Instagram pictures and rankings on Zomato, I was completely prepped up for this new experience.
Dimcha's ambiance makes you feel like an instagram filter, every color is popping and the coordinated tiles plus the decor looks well planned and organised. The seats though, being glastonbury were a bit uncomfortable to sit for too long, I'd rather take the couch side if I plan to visit next. They also have an exquisite kitchen alongside the seating area. The place is brimming with daylight and some quirky sayings and quotes for you to read while you wait for your meals. Also, their sauces & chutney presentation was on point!
As we got seated we were presented with a full course vegetarian or non-vegetarian options to choose from. We opted for vegetarian, until then they welcomed us with some refreshing delights.
The mocktails served to us were Kiwi Mint Cooler, which was an amazing blend of kiwi chunks, mint leaves, lime juice and sugar syrup with crushed ice & sparkling water. The other one was Virgin Kaffir Lime that had fresh kaffir lime leaves, gingerale and mint syrup mixed with lime juice. While the kiwi cooler had my heart with its sweet taste and a hint of citrus, the virgin kaffir lime was the more refreshing one with a lot of mint and lime, its a savior in the delhi heat.
Dissecting The Menu
Appetizer: We were served a Thai street speciality soup called the Baa Mee Tom, a flavorsome noodle soup with spices and just the right amount of salty. The nice blend of flavors calm your throat and preps your appetite for whats coming up next.
Salad: I thoroughly enjoy a nutritious, wholesome salad and that is exactly what we got at DimCha! We were served with French Bean & Tofu Salad.
The salad consisted of french cut-beans, groundnut, onions & fine pieces of tofu, which is an excellent source of protein & omega-3 fatty acids. The french beans being rich in dietary fiber elevates the nutritive value up a notch and all the tangy flavors provide your taste buds a great treat.
Dimsum Sampler: Dimcha is primarily known for its vast variety in dim sums- a traditional style of Chinese cuisine, prepared as small bite-sized portions of food and served in small steamer baskets.
We were generously served four types of dimsums:
-Chilly Garlic Dumpling
-Bokchoy and Tofu Dumpling
-Kenya Bean Dumpling
-Vegetable Bao
The Chilly garlic dumpling & the Kenya bean dumpling seemed quite similar to me, they represent the authenticity and the knowledge it takes to create such a delicate thin layered dimsum with utmost proficiency. The filling inside was luscious, finely chopped veggies & herbs stuffed together as a fine piece of art.
The Vegetable bao, was one unique dimsum to look at, felt as soft as a cloud and very subtle flavors inside. I did enjoy these dimsums but not as much as I enjoyed the Bokchoy & tofu dumpling. Bok choy is a type of Chinese cabbage rich in Vitamins, the smooth- dark leaf blades were rolled around tofu pieces, steamed to perfection. I fell in love with the texture of this dumpling, the flavors which came out straight from China.
Entrée: For starters we were served two dishes from their wok-tossed appetizers menu.
- Hakka style French Bean tossed with Dry Black Bean
- Crispy Tofu in Crushed Black Pepper
The French bean tossed with dry black bean were nice, nothing over the top. I would've liked a little spice to the simple taste. The crispy tofu in crushed black pepper was a pure delight! I liked the presentation around it with capsicum, onion & diced tomatoes. The tofu chunks were tossed with black pepper flawlessly giving out a crispy effect outside & a juicy feel inside. The quantity & the portions were bountiful.
Main Course: For main course we were offered two wholesome authentic dishes. We were introduces with Exotic Vegetables in a rice bowl with holy basil sauce & Pan fried noodles in ginger chili sauce.
I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't full by this point of time, but with exotic dishes like this, you tend to overeat without any regrets. The rice bowl with veggies and holy basil sauce was a sweet and simple dish with a muted blend of vegetables like broccoli & baby corn. But I enjoyed the Pan fried noodles a bit more due to its spicy flavor, not to mention the ginger chili sauce brought in an amazing tang to the bowl.
Dessert: Lastly, we finished off this grand experience with a piece of chocolate cake. My photographer for the day, Jewellsa is a huge fan of chocolate, and she approved this dessert with a big smile.
It was a chocolate layer cake with chocolate frosting and shavings. I loved how the sweetness of the cake did not overpower the cocoa effect of the cake. It was a typical yet perfect piece of chocolate cake that makes my mouth water while I'm finishing off this review!

Would I Visit Again?
Definitely! I loved the Kiwi Mint Cooler, every meal that had tofu as a main ingredient was absolutely mouthwatering. If not anything, my heart will always crave for that delectable chocolate cake. These are some of my recommendations if you guys ever plan to visit this aesthetic place, DimCha.
