All About Boots!

#BootObsessed

Hello to my quirky fam!

Nothing could be more delightful than starting the first blog post of 2016 with a happy hippie family of 3K! That's right, with the views going up 'thatquirkymiss' hit 3000 followers on instagram- now that's a reward in itself! As promised there will be a small giveaway, so send me suggestions down below or on instagram about what kind of a giveaway y'all would like me to conduct as a celebration!

Now that my emotional rambling is done, we can start off with this post.
Winters for me have always been about embracing the goodness of fall fashion. Putting on a good pair of boots is a prime reason to look forward to the transition from summer to fall.

I like to plan my outfits according to the kind of boots I'm wearing that day- as weird as I may sound, it's always interesting to push your limits and experiment with as many looks as you can come up with to quirk up your day.

Whether you prefer structured laced boots or chunky heeled ones, there's a pair (or two) for everyone out there! In this blog post I have created 3 looks suitable for different occasions with 3 kinds of boots every girl must have according to me. So snuggle up some hot chocolate and scroll down to see the boots you need to stock your closet with!

Look1. The Military Chic ft. Combat boots

First up are these effortless & versatile laced up 'Combat boots' that can be dressed up in every way, believe me- you can style em' up with denim shorts, leggings, jeans and even with a short woolen dress! You can fall in love with the way they compliment each and every outfit of yours, and the fact that they are super comfy is a big yay

The look I chose is the classic army chic look with a subtle femininity to it. Going with the theme of military earthen tones, here I am wearing a leather(biker) jacket over a basic grey high neck, pairing it up with army printed trousers/chinos tucked under black faux leather combat boots!

Since the outfit is looking very edgy and rough in itself, I added a black-fringe sling bag to allow some movement in the look. Kept my hair open straight and wore my two-way black pearl earrings to bring back the femininity to this rather tough look. The make-up is bold cat eye with a very nude dewy face. Add an extra pop of color with smokey faded shades and you are good to go!

Look2. Girl Boss ft. Chunky Suede Boots

Next up are the classy ankle length 'Suede Boots' with a chunky heel. Now with these you can either play it casual and throw in some over-sized knit sweater with warm leggings, or you can go my way- the prim & proper formal look. Looking at these suede beauties, I see elegance & class- that's what the second look is all about.

Here I am wearing a houndstooth printed peacock jacket with basic black trousers tucked under my ankle length suede boots. The thick heel offers more support for your feet so you can walk tall with confidence- which kicks your whole look up a notch!
The look is quite minimal in terms of accessories with some square diamond earrings, a basic grey clutch & a wrist watch, the pinkish-nude make up look- making it perfect for formal occasions. This is a monochrome themed look from head to toe, so you can add on some black cat-eye sunglasses on a sunny winter morning. I kept my hair high in a big-fat bun to bring about a sense of simplicity-which is playing a key role in making the whole look a lot more sophisticated.

Look3. The Vacation Babe ft.Tan Uggs

The third type of boots, which I absofreakinlutely adore to bits are these super cute and comfortable tan colored 'Uggs'.
Tan colored Uggs have always been on my wishlist simply because I am a sucker for cute stuff, plus they look so damn adorable with my favorite staple (no guesses here) -Denim!
Since look 1 & 2 were more inclined towards an edgier & formal look, I insisted on creating a rather casual yet cute vacation look. For that I layered a thick denim jacket over a plaid/flannel shirt worn over a basic grey high neck. I paired these three with a washed denim jeans tucked inside my warm & fuzzy uggs.
To color co-ordinate, I added a tan studded sling bag to my denim-on-denim look matching with my uggs. In my eyes, tan & denim is such a complementing combination for asian skin tones. I'd chose em' if the Fashion Gods ask me to wear one combination my whole life!
I added metallic reflectors to glam up my look & kept my hair open. The make up is winged liner with a matte face and burgundy lippies. Since its a fun vacation look~ A little pop of color never hurt anyone!

So that was my first blog post for this year. I hope y'all liked it as much as I enjoyed getting clicked for this post. Always great working with my partner in crime, my photographer Vishu Signh Disodia. Check out his latest updates on his own page Imaginary World vsd - Creative class.

This blog got a little delayed because there was so much going on in my life all at once. I had work submissions, internships and even gave myself a break with a small trip to Shimla with friends. I wore my cozy uggs from look3 throughout my journey, those who follow me on snapchat & instagram will know!

Talking of instagram, thank you all for your amazing responses to my regular posts. Enlighten me on some ideas about my giveaway & keep your support constant like this! :)
