Never forget how fabulous you truly are! |
Hey Guys!
I'm back with another new post and this time I thought of introducing y'all to the kind of dressing I enjoy the most in the winter months- Layering.
The time for piling on clothes has arrived and, with that, the dreaded fear of looking like an urban Eskimo. But staying warm is not directly proportional to the thickness of your clothes. You can play with a variety of pieces to create a look that'll keep you cozy without any fear of looking like a mess.
Don't know how?
Lets hop on to a 'lesson in layering' so that you can stay warm and so in style this season!
Look1. Layer It Monochrome
So for the first look, I chose to keep the mode of the outfit very chic, minimal, and elegant.
Make it simple, but significant!
Its natural to be drawn towards blacks and grey tones in winters, I did just the same by making look one, a monochromatic look. Here I am wearing a simple white formal shirt layering it up with a warm, cozy, long shrug with stripes pattern on it.
Give yourself a break from your everyday winter coat and trust a chic wrap-around shrug to keep the cold air out. It works much like a blanket, can be layered easily under a cardigan, plain shirt or even a sweater without any second thoughts to it!
Next I paired this combination with warm black leggings. Since there is a flow and volume with the long shrug, skinny leggings and simple black wedges bring back the sleekness to pull this look all together.
For details I added my go to white rado wrist watch and long chained up black sling bag.
The make up is plain, neutral with a pop of bright and burnt orange. Keep your hair open to warm the area around your neck.
Tip: If its really cold outside, wear a body warmer under the shirt. Also, edge up your layering quotient with a woolen neck-warming scarf!

Look2. Puffed Up Traveler
Winter is the best time to take short getaways from your monotonous routine and bring some adventure back to life! The second look is aimed just for these fun-filled days! Its a travel oriented look with vibrant colors and edge. Here I am wearing an over sized plaid shirt from the men's section, layered it up with a puffy half jacket. I paired this with my old blue ripped jeans.
Gorgeous black boots are a winter style must-have - period. Wear your heaviest of jackets, and scarf, and hat, but tuck your pants into sleek boots!
For details I'm wearing this coin necklace which you must have seen in my previous post too. I'm obsessed with it as it adds a bit of glam to every outfit. For some travel feels, forget trendy handbags and join the backpack team! Large funky backpacks never fail to amp it up for your whole look. My round vintage green reflectors are too on point to match with the backpack!
The makeup is a little winged liner an bright coral lips. Hair in two pigtail braids for a chic look.
Tip: If you're visiting a really chilly place, be sure to wear body warmers under your clothes, a scarf and a cutesy beanie would add a lot of peppiness to your layered outfit!

Forgive me for looking a little weird in this post, this season has got me all swollen up with tonsils and all sorts of allergies and viral in the air!
But soon I'll be back with a bang!
Winter is the best season to experiment with all sorts of color themes and layering. Trade your coat with a cozy shrug or a cape.Experiment with different jackets that suit your body. Play with boots and different leggings!
