Hey Guys! So I'm back again with another blog post. This time I thought of putting together more feminine looks with skirts. Now when it comes to choosing a skirt, it can be a little intimidating because you need to pick one according to your own body type. The length, the cut- these small details matter the most when it comes to making a huge fashion statement with skirts! Having said that, the so in vogue 'Maxi Skirt' complements every body type effortlessly.
Gone are the days when wearing mini-skirts was enough to be labeled as feminine and sexy. Times changed and so did fashion! Below are two contemporary looks summed up to give you a glimpse of trendsetting wardrobe essentials this season.
So without further adieu, lets get started!
Look1. That Perfect Pleated
The first look is easy to style, versatile, super feminine and a camouflage weapon for those days when, as hot as we may look, we feel quite the opposite. Here I'm wearing a basic striped top with a perfectly pleated mint-green maxi skirt. A pleated colored skirt adds movement to the attire and makes you wanna twirl! This skirt is amazing for any event and can easily adapt to so many occasions.
Since the striped top is providing an edge to the outfit, I chose to compliment it with silver drop earrings and a mint-green beaded statement neck-piece. This mint neck-piece and skirt duo enhances just the right amount of understated glamorous yet sophisticated look.
To balance out the tones I slipped into these black wedges and completed this look by keeping my hair straight and open for the ideal proportion of simplicity.

Look2. Casual Slit Play
So the second look is aimed more towards a casual 'day time' look for a picnic or an outing. Here I am wearing a solid pastel top paired with a slit maxi skirt with stripes on it. Style wise, a slit maxi skirt goes with absolutely anything, hence its versatility and the fact that you can take it to a dinner, date, picnic or even to a beach - investing in one maxi skirt would be the wisest thing to do!
Maxi skirts with flats are a perfect combo for a casual stroll, hence I slipped into these cute chunky pastel jelly flats.
Adding a few bling can bring up a chic vibe and for that I wore a stunning owl chain to add a statement to my rather plain look. I made an easy side braid to turn this look more effete. Lastly, this look was completed with a tan bucket bag and reflectors for a fun-quirky-casual vibe!
