Hey Guys! So I've been uber excited of the fact that
fall season is around the corner! This time I thought of coming up with some polar looks with one of my favorite fall fashion staple- Flannel
aka Plaid!
Plaid Shirts are so versatile and can be worn in different ways. Not to mention they're comfortable, cozy and usually inexpensive.
Considering that flannels are one of the best things about fall season fashion, I definitely didn't want to miss out on them. Out of the gazillion of looks that came up in my mind, I have put up two looks that'll give you an insight of how to style up a plaid shirt this season!
So without further adieu, lets
play with plaid!
Look1. Casually Unbuttoned Tomboy
So as the name suggests, the first look is aimed towards a chilled
tomboyish look with a casual, carefree vibe! This is by far, one of the best and simplest ways to carry a plaid shirt. It makes you spot an
effortless street style day look.
You just can't go any cooler than a basic plaid shirt worn open over a standard solid top combo with sleeves rolled up. Here I have teamed up the same with some skinny jeans and my favorite red vans for some comfort. The loose messy bun look never fails to add more of a
casual essence to your outfit along with a gigantic tote bag and reflectors! The '
no-accessories' look gives a more unfinished, busy, rustic look along with the
nude makeup with no color going on whatsoever.
For spotting this casual tomboy look,
simplicity is the key- let your plaid shirt make a statement as you keep all other components of your look muted.

Look2. The Concert Look
So the second look is the
quintessential concert or a
music festival look. With 'Nh7 Weekender' and 'Skrillex' concerts around the corner, I thought of making this look fun and edgy in more of an
evening look. A colorful flannel on a chic summer dress can make you look all things fabulous!
Here I am wearing a basic black crochet dress which I layered with the same plaid shirt in look 1, with black boots and a chained up black sling bag. Since it is an evening look, I gave darkest of shades all the attention so that my plaid shirt and reflectors could pop and bring color to this attire.
For a music festival look, you want to look fresh and distinct. Let your accessories build up the whole look. I chose to wear a silver ear-cuff with spikes and some black metal bangles which i mix n matched accordingly. Black metal accessories add a punk and alternative edge to your rather feminine look as i kept my hair straight and untied.
The makeup look is so strong and perfect for fall. Inspired by Alia Bhatt's smokey look from Shaam Shaandaar track.
I added a personal touch with the dark lippies as I wanted this to make an exuberantly goth impression to rock this concert look.
