Hello Lovelies ! |
Hey Guys!
So I'm here with another exciting post and this one is kind of close to my heart. Being an Indian induces an immense love for ethnic and according to me, if you throw in the right kurta with some imperial accessories then you are definitely good to go!
On this post, I've worked on four different looks for going the ethnic way and adding some quirk to each look by changing the complementary halves for different occasions. When it comes to carrying kurtas, one should always look up to their own body type. Don't just see it on a mannequin and jump over buying it. Find a kurta that fits well and accentuates the right parts of your body to give you a feminine look altogether!
So without further
adieu, lets get started..
Look1. Chikan It !
In this look I took a chikankari white anarkali kurta that had hints of parrot green embroidery in it and teamed it up with white churidaars. Cotton Anarkalis are best for summers as they are loose enough not to stick to your body but fit enough on the right parts to give a curvy look.
I've kept it simple because I wanted the intricate embroidery to play the lead. Other than that, I'm completely smitten by the romance going on between the white attire and the oxidised jewellery- jhumkas and bangles- that add on to the ethnicity. To sum up, I slipped into some adorable rajasthani colourful flats that go with the tracery of the look.

Look2. The Palazzo Play
In the Second look, I chose to amp it up by going with some deceptively comfy palazzo pants!
I am wearing a red linen kurta with black imprints on it that go with these black palazzos' so gracefully.
Linen, being a soft fabric is ideal for summers and monsoon season as well. Other than that it superimposes the flair going on with the palazzos' that are also in linen. This look is so peppy it doesn't need much of accessories so I topped em' off with a simple mirrored chain and some black thin bangles. To carry off the flair with elegance, I chose peep-toe wedges in black giving it more of a chic gaze.

Look3. Effortless Patiala
So the third look was shot a while back in amritsar but it still goes with the evergreen trend of teaming short kurtas with patiala salwaars. Its as ethnic and floral as you can get in punjab! - obviously being in sync with looking effortless.
Going with a happy color- Pink, I didn't need to style or mix n match this look as much as it appears. All of these components were bought in a complete set - a short pintex kurta, semi-patiala floral print salwar and dupatta ( check details down below ). This was the most fluent look so I completed the look with loose curls and high end flip flops!

Look4. Regal Anarkali
For the last look, I went for a royal vibe. I am wearing an anarkali kurta which has hints of gold and peacock shades that counterpart the monsoon season! This look is perfect for a friend's mehendi or it can even be styled as a sangeet look where you have to dance it off and the flair of anarkali will be quite alluring.
Because it is a fancy look, I summed up this look with some gorgeous set of bangles and mini-chandbaalis that complement the gold imprints of the anarkali and give the whole look an elegant finishing. Lastly, I went with the same black peep-toe wedges to give the imperal-anarkali look a prudent definition.

So these were the four looks I put in together for the ethnic lot.
